The old saying goes” Dogs are man’s best friend ”

Dogs have been known as man’s best friend for decades. Owning a dog can be a positive, enjoyable experience for the entire family. Keep in mind however, that the decision to own a dog is an important one that should not be taken lightly. A dog is not just a fun diversion or entertaining gift. Owning a dog requires a commitment from you that will last the lifetime of the dog. The responsibilities of owning a dog and the joys of owning a dog hold an equal place of importance.

Noise: How Much is Too Much?

In the past, stock photographers lived in fear of numbers higher than 100. Moving your ISO above a hundred meant one thing: noise.
Fortunately, those days are past us. Modern cameras will happily move up towards at least 400 without any kind of noise in those tricky shadow areas.

And that’s good news, because at the end of the day, getting the proper exposure is always the most important consideration in an image.

So push that ISO wherever you need to nail your exposure. Then you can worry — or not worry — about noise.

A certain amount of noise we can live with. If we’re talking about just a light grainy texture, then noise really doesn’t have to be a fatal technical error.
Noise becomes a real problem when the pixels become overly discoloured. This kind of noise makes an image hard for a designer to work with, especially when they need to reproduce and print. The unwanted range of colors in bad noise cause havoc for offset printing.

Look at your image at 100%. Is there any noise? You have some options:

• Remove it. There are noise removal applications out there, but be careful: noise reduction can damage the image much more severely than the original noise itself.

• Work with it. If your noise is more of a texture problem than a discoloration one, some subtle processing can help it

• Live with it. Not all noise is a problem. That said, you’ve got to be really honest with yourself when you look at it and ask “Does this look okay?”

New Years Recipe

Take twelve whole months,
Clean them thoroughly of all bitterness, hate, and jealousy,
Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.

Now cut each month into twenty-eight, thirty, or
thirty-one different parts,
but don’t make up the whole batch at once.
Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.

Mix well into each day one part of faith,
one part of patience, one part of courage,
and one part of work.

Add to each day one part of hope,
faithfulness, generosity, and kindness.
Blend with one part prayer,
one part meditation, and one good deed.
Season the whole with a dash of good spirits,
a sprinkle of fun, a pinch of play,
and a cupful of good humor.

Pour all of this into a vessel of love.
Cook thoroughly over radiant joy,
garnish with a smile,
and serve with quietness, unselfishness,
and cheerfulness.

You’re bound to have a Happy New Year.
